Reconnecting

As much as we don't want to admit it, there's always that one person that you think about no matter how long it's been. There's the risky text that you want to send, the profile that you lowkey want to stalk, and the hope that person thinks about you too. Well, to answer all of your lingering questions, here's my story and advice on such matters.  1. Check in With Your Mental Health          Have you healed from the situation that you were in with that person? Are you strong enough for them to walk away from you or shut you down at the first attempt? Even more important, are you strong enough to leave at the first sign that this reconnection isn't good?  My story...      Very recently I reconnected with an old friend who once had the opportunity to become more. There were a lot of circumstances the last time we spoke that simply didn't allow for us to continue as friends, let alone more that friends. We spoke ov...

8 Tips to a Better Daily Life

Honestly? I absolutely love my life. Almost everyday of it I do my best to enjoy to the fullest. I loveeee how I'm living currently. Do I still have some toxic traits and habits that bring me down? Hell yea! Everyone does! But regardless, life is amazing.      This is recent though! I used to dread getting up in the morning. I used to groan about work and I complained about school every day. I grew to love and enjoy my life and it took some serious sacrifices. I had to let go of a guy who I thought I wanted to marry, I had to stop taking a medicine that I'd been on for months, and I had to make some crazy life changes.      Today, I'm writing this blog to hopefully guide you into loving your life as well, but be prepared to make some sacrifices along the way. 1. Find your priorities      Somethings are worth our effort, energy, and stress and others just aren't. Growing up, I was always told that school is your number one ...

Tips to a Better Day

It's so often that we find everyday is just like the last and we feel like we're in a fog of sorts. The calculated risk of change sounds too great to commit to but staying the same just won't cut it anymore. So here we are, stuck in a fog afraid of change left clueless of what to do.       Luckily for you, I'm here to help! I'm going to give you a few tips that help me have a good, fogless day that feels somewhat above average. These are just some quick things that I do almost everyday and they really help me out, so I hope they can help you out as well. 1. Move Your Body      Personally, I do a less than ten minute workout. I try to do this everyday, but sometimes skip three or more days. I get my workouts off of an app and I participate in a "Daily 7" program. Exercising raises your endorphins which is your body's "feel good" neurotransmitters, so it's like an instant mood booster.      Try yoga, a short workout pr...

50 Unique Hobbies to Try

Life can get straight up boring. I know that isn't a fun way to look at things, but it's so true. We wake up, go to work or school or both, come home and relax on the couch or in bed, then go to sleep and repeat the same process again tomorrow. It's a repetitive cycle that gets us through everyday, but is that really all that there is to life? No!!!     Go home and instead of just sitting, try something new everyday until you've found something that you love! Hobbies are so necessary to breaking up the repetition of everyday life. I have listed a ton of hobbies below for you to try and linked a general page on how to get started below. I hope you have a blast reading it and find one or even a few things to interrupt your daily habits. 1. Art!     Oh? You said you're not good at art? Lies! There are so many different types and forms of art to try! Painting, drawing, sculpting, heck, there's even something called trash art! The only thing hold...

10 Life Changing Habits to Start

Sometimes, the life we have simply does not feel like the life we should be having. Working 8-5 five days a week and then cleaning on the weekends just doesn't feel like what we should be doing. It just doesn't feel like living .     These ten tips are ones that I have personally applied to my life that have helped me feel more alive and productive while lifting my mood, bettering my day, and giving me lots of fun energy. 1. Detoxify your life     Just like you detox your body of harmful chemicals and bad foods, sometimes we have to detox our daily lives of things that are potentially or proven to be bad for us. This isn't an entirely fun or exciting process, but being around negative things or people can ultimately be part of the reason we have bad days and a negative view on life.  Some things I removed in my life detox Watching the News Unsupportive, immature, or negative friends, family, or coworkers Foods and drinks that make me feel gross Neg...

10 Goal Setting Habits That Will Change Your Life

Think of New Years. Everyone sets these amazing goals; eating better, cooking at home more, working out, saving money, and rarely do we actually keep and complete these goals. According to fsunews.com , 88% of New Years Resolutions are failed by the second week of February. When we give up on those new goals, it often discourages us further, prevents us from making new goals, and even makes us feel bad about ourselves.     Honestly, new habits are super difficult to make, harder to keep, especially when it involves breaking old habits. Then, in two or three weeks, when a friend asks, "hey, how's _______ going," it sucks to have to explain that it is simply no longer going.      I hated this cycle. I would work out for two or three days in a row, then quit. Or meal prep for one week, and end up still eating a bunch of Oreos because I was restricting myself. Finally, I figured out how to make goals for myself that I can continue and keep up wit...
